In seeking to accelerate its growth further and enable its clients to have greater impact, Verian is launching its Institute for Public Impact and reshuffling its senior management.
More details on the Verian Institute for Public Impact will be released in the coming weeks but in essence it will be a forum for convening policy makers, thought leaders and citizens in ways that facilitate more effective, impactful and value for money formulation of government policy. Dr Michelle Harrison, after nearly a decade in role as CEO, will now move to become President of Verian and to take on the role of The Institute Chair. She will continue to sit on Verian’s Board and be intimately involved in the development of its strategy.
Michelle Harrison said “I’d like to thank and congratulate the exceptional Philippa Edward as she steps into role as the CEO. As always, I thank our clients around the world for their enduring partnership and our folk for their commitment. We have entered into an unprecedented era in public policy, governance and democracy. With the launch of the Verian Institute for Public Impact, we will be working alongside our clients on visionary policy innovation and it is my privilege to lead this.”
At the same time Philippa Edward, Verian’s current COO, will assume the role of Verian CEO. As CEO, she will accelerate innovation in the collection of data and use of AI, expand current offers and best practice to more markets, and simplify our structure and ways of working.
Philippa Edward said “I am absolutely delighted to be leading Verian through its next phase of growth. Since joining I have felt a strong connection to Verian’s unique ability to ensure that all facets of society are given voice – the opportunity to extend and accelerate this impact whilst supporting the incredible talent we have is hugely motivating. The newly established Verian Institute will be a critical partner on the journey ahead – Verian will no doubt benefit from even stronger connection to our clients and continued access to the intellect and passion of Michelle Harrison.”
Verian Chair Eric Salama said “Our business has thrived since we separated from Kantar, and we have gained share against our major competitors. But with the external environment changing rapidly and our clients in need of ever more cost-effective and impactful solutions, we must continue evolving. And with Michelle and Philippa in their new roles I have no doubt that we will be successful in doing so.”
