The Public Sector Reputation Index was developed by Verian New Zealand nearly a decade ago in response to demand from our public sector clients for rigorous, independent benchmarks of their reputation. In 2023 we expanded the index into Singapore and Australia.
The Index is a globally validated model of reputation that has been carefully adapted for the public sector. This model includes four central pillars: trust, social responsibility, fairness and leadership.
In the free to download Australian Public Sector report we reveal the top 10 performing agencies on the Index in 2024, and reputational trends for the public sector more broadly. We also explore perceptions of integrity for Australian public sector agencies, as well look at the disconnect which can occur between performance and reputation.
We have 40 departments and agencies on the Australian Index alone. Index results can be used by agencies to set KPIs and monitor their reputation performance.
Please get in touch if you would like a report customised for your department or agency. Custom reports contain detailed information about your own department or agencies reputation, benchmarked against the average scores for 3 to 6 other departments or agencies of your choosing.
