Public opinion, reputation and electoral
We have long been trusted partners in delivering opinion, polling and reputational research to allow New Zealand organisations to know how they stand with the general public and institutional stakeholders.
We help organisations make sense of what can be increasingly dramatic shits in public opinion, the political landscape, and the relationships between organisations, stakeholders, media and the general public.
Our services
Social license, public perception and brand research
We offer reputational and brand research and advice, including international comparisons on reputational norms for public service organisations. We use a range of media measurement and analysis tools that provide content analysis and audience segmentation.
Public sector reputation (PSRI)
We are leaders in understanding the factors that help shape the reputation of New Zealand public sector agencies. We carry out standalone studies to work with individual government agencies on their reputation building strategies, including stakeholder surveys. Each year we conduct the Verian Public Reputation Index covering the reputations of nearly 60 New Zealand government agencies. To find out more click here.
Independent political polling
We are known for our long track record of political polling in New Zealand. Our team has run the 1 NEWS political poll for more than 20 years.

Electoral awareness and understanding
We help the New Zealand government monitor and improve the public’s understanding of the electoral process, including helping to ensure under represented groups are engaged with the electoral process.
Public sentiment surveys
We regularly run large scale public sentiment surveys, exploring topics of interest to public sector organisations.
