Dr Andi Fugard has joined Verian UK to head up the quantitative impact evaluation team within our Evaluation Practice.
With over 15 years of experience, Andi has led impact evaluations for UK government departments and What Works Centres across a range of policy areas including crime and justice, mental health, education, and transport. They have authored over 40 publications on evaluations, the psychology of reasoning, and research methodology. Andi is also a member of the UK government Evaluation and Trial Advice Panel.
Andi was previously Co-Director of Evaluation at the UK’s National Centre for Social Research, where they were responsible for randomised controlled trials and quasi-experimental impact evaluation. Andi has also been Research Lead for the Child Outcomes Research Consortium in the Anna Freud Centre; held academic positions at University College London and Birkbeck, University of London; and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Salzburg.
